Green River College Pinhole Project

Starting in Fall of 2019 my students and I started to build, load and place small pinhole cameras around Green River College’s campus. The cameras are left exposing the paper(image) for five weeks then the cameras are removed and images scanned.  Due to the extreme length of the exposures, we can see the sun streaking across the sky and moving with the tilt of the earth. The DIY design of the cameras can leave us open to the wonderful unknowns of moisture causing us to see ‘solar systems’ of mold that grew on the print during exposure.  I need to thank Janet Neuhauser for the idea and the training, these images are also part of The Pinhole Project www.thepinholeproject.org
